The Kony 2012 social media campaign has gone viral. This well done thirty minute movie has received over 37 million page views in only two days. When I first saw it less than five hours ago it already had over 32 million pages views. Invisible Children, a non profit children’s advocacy group, has been documenting atrocities inflicted upon the people of Uganda by self proclaimed “visionary” Joseph Kony. Kony, the founder of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) is a vicious, sadistic persecutor of his fellow countrymen. He claims God and the spirits talk to him and guide him to build this army of children and force them to torture, rape, and murder innocent men, women, and children, including their own parents. He was indicted by the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Netherlands in 2005 with crimes against humanity. It is past time for the world community to hunt him down and bring him to justice.
